October 18th, 2025 — Tokyo & Kawasaki, Japan
For the second chapter of the Porsche 912’s 60th Anniversary celebrations, we chose to travel across the world to Japan.
Over the years, we have built strong friendships with many Japanese collectors and enthusiasts. This adventure would never have been possible without the invaluable support of Kazuhiro Yoshizawa, better known as @singertracks, or simply Yoshizawa-San. Thanks to him, we were able to connect with the local community and create an event together that truly reflected the spirit of Global 912 Reunion.
Because Global 912 Reunion is much more than a gathering—it is, above all, a collective adventure. This Japanese edition was imagined and organized alongside the enthusiasts themselves, linking Tokyo to Kawasaki through a shared passion for the Porsche 912.
On October 18th, more than twenty Porsche 912s came together to celebrate this remarkable model. Some participants had driven for well over an entire day just to join the event, a testament to the deep affection this car inspires around the world. Once again, the cars themselves were simply the starting point for creating connections, sharing stories, and bringing together people from different generations, cultures and backgrounds.
Our meeting point was at the foot of a building designed by Shiro Kuramata, one of Japan’s most influential designers, whose work continues to inspire people all over the world. This location was carefully chosen. Since its creation, Global 912 Reunion has sought to create a dialogue between the automobile and every form of art. By exhibiting several Porsche 912s within a space designed by one of the twentieth century’s greatest designers, we continued pursuing that vision.
We also collaborated with a boutique designed by Kuramata, displaying Porsche 912s both inside the building’s lobby and throughout the store itself. The result was breathtaking. The timeless lines of the Porsche 912 naturally interacted with the architecture surrounding them. Kuramata’s iconic central staircase, the proportions, the materials and the flowing curves of the space echoed those of the cars, creating a dialogue that was both inspiring and deeply emotional. For a few hours, design, architecture, art and the automobile became one.
To mark the occasion, we created a special Japan Edition of our products with the support of Café Leather. Every participant received an exclusive handcrafted leather keyring inspired by the ones Porsche dealerships once offered to their customers. Its green color, representing Global Reunion throughout Asia, became a symbol of this unique chapter of our journey.
Lunch was held near Tokyo Tower, giving everyone a chance to relax together before setting off once again.
Then it was time to start the engines.
Because a Global 912 Reunion isn’t meant to be experienced standing still. It’s meant to be lived on the road.
Under perfect weather, we drove together through Tokyo and its surroundings, enjoying every mile behind the wheel. Seeing more than twenty Porsche 912s driving together through Japan will undoubtedly remain one of the defining memories of this celebration.
Our final destination was a large square in Kawasaki, where we watched the sun set over an incredible gathering of Japanese Porsche 912s. It was a simple yet unforgettable moment that perfectly captured the spirit of Global 912 Reunion: beautiful automobiles, passionate people, meaningful conversations and memories that will last a lifetime.
This second edition once again proved that the Porsche 912 knows no borders.
Despite the thousands of kilometers separating Europe from Japan, the same values could be found everywhere: passion, generosity, curiosity and the desire to share knowledge with others.
Watching Japanese, European and international owners come together around the same automobile was deeply inspiring. Languages, cultures and generations blended naturally, creating friendships that will continue long after the event itself.
For one unforgettable day, we celebrated the Porsche 912 in Japan just as we had in Provence: by driving, discovering, sharing stories, and creating meaningful connections between automobiles, art and people.
And this was only the second chapter of the Porsche 912’s 60th Anniversary celebrations.
